There's something strange about the horizon, maybe because it fades into the sky so seamlessly. I love the majestic look of the tower. Good job on the clouds (thumbup).

The depth of the painting is good - the birds really add depth. Though, if you would have accentuated the depth more, it would be really striking. The trees could be a bit smaller so that the tower would really stand out as a really huge building. The rain effect on the clouds is very good - I can almost hear the raindrops :). I also like the colours. What I would've wanted to see more, was just a hint more blue and perhaps green on the water. It seems to be low tide (sand on the ocean floor) but still... Overall, good work!

I like
- the dark clouds render and the sea surface.

I don't like
- the sky colors (sort of purple + orange) old fashionnes but that's a question of taste.
- Unbalanced composition:
Perspective only on the left side.
Empty right side (and you know it because you felt necessary to add birds & rocks to fill the area...)
the piece is split in 2 equal areas by the tower.

Sorry if my critics are not clear : my english writing is weak.

Some composition basics here:

I was reading them myself ;).

I don't think that "wow amazing!"s will ever help us improving our skills.
Stick at work. I'm waiting for your next piece.

excellent work. i saw the detailed version of it and i really like that storm section.
my only concerns are the with the emptiness on the right side. the paiting leads our eyes towards that section but there's nothing there to see.

also, the horizon line should be a bit more defined, it just seems to blend into the sky too much.

other than that, it certainly looks like you put a lot of work into it.
nice job!

this is great work... and i don't care about the space on the right side.... I think that give it a more realistic look aside the technique. (hope you understand what I'm triying to say, my english is not so good)

oH my oh my - what an incredible feeling that drips out of this picture! i love this contrast between darkness (bad?) and light (good?)`, also the entire scenery. what a beautiful picture, to me it has a certain dream-quality, for this is a place that could appear wonderfully in a dream, imho :) definitely 5+

Would you submit a detail of the water, too? What beautiful work... I love the way you've created those trees. Simple but effective. Harmonious choice of colors... but I feel the left side is so dark in comparison to the right side. If you had added a splotch of lightness somewhere on the left, I think this image would be perfect. +4
